No record of burial. Helen Anne Lilian Thomson was descended from a long line of bankers and clergymen. She was born in Ridgetown, Ontario, in 1896, and lived with her family above the Molson Bank where her father was the manager. Helen was the only daughter of Harry and Georgina Thomson, nee Farley. She had three brothers - John, Charles and Farley - and one sister, Frances. The Thomson family was well-to-do and brought a governess over from England to raise the children. When Helen was twelve, her family moved to the Trenton area, where she met Angus McGill Mowat. While Angus was serving in the First World War, the Thomsons moved to Port Arthur, now Thunder Bay, after Harry mismanaged some funds.
Angus and Helen married on May 28, 1919 in what is now Thunder Bay. That same year Helen's youngest brother, Farley, died during a climbing accident. When her son was born 12 May 1921, the couple named him Farley to honour Helen's baby brother. per member 50293864
