Charles married on October 8, 1861, in Butler County, Ohio, to Harriett Yearion.
They apparently moved from Ohio to Shelby County, Indiana, between the births of their sons Edward and James, and to Montgomery County, Indiana, between the births of their daughters Isabell and Margaret.
At the time of the 1880 census, Charles was a farmer in Sugar Creek Township, Montgomery County, Indiana.

From William Ken Hartley:
Info I have is that Charles Maguire was born November 14, 1835 in Fintona, County Tyrone, N. Ireland. His parents were Edward Maguire and Anna Campbell. He had siblings - James E. Maguire, born Mar 8, 1831; Edward Maguire, born Feb 14,1837; Stewart Maguire, born Oct 18, 1845 and my Great Great Grandmother Catherine - possibly born circa 1846/47. Edward died Mar 20, 1899 and is supposedly buried at Drumnakilly. I have visited the churchyard there where Edward, Anna and Catherine are supposedly buried but there is no headstone and church records have apparently gone missing. Have not gotten any further back than Edward & Anna.
The sons of Edward listed above all emigrated to the USA. Catherine was the only sibling to remain in Ireland. There are MANY descendants of these Maguires (some of whom spelt the name McGuire in the USA). James married but had no children. Charles married Harriet and had 12 children. Edward never married. Stewart married Anna Marie Murphy and had 11 children. Catherine Maguire apparently never married BUT did have 6 children most of whom emigrated to Canada.
