James Kenneth Zbinden
September 25, 2019:

James Kenneth Zbinden, 80, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

Kenny was born November 4, 1938, in Fulton, Missouri, the son of the late Hallie James Zbinden and the late Alma Jane (Howerton) Zbinden.

On December 21, 1957 Kenny married his high school sweetheart, Rosemary (Jones) Zbinden and she survives his passing.

Kenny graduated from Fulton High School in 1957. He was an independent contractor in Fulton and Callaway County for his entire career. He begin working for his father and grandfather at a very young age and eventually took over Zbinden Construction Company.

Kenny loved working on and restoring his old Model cars, driving in parades and attending local car shows. He and Rosemary enjoyed traveling, including trips to Switzerland, Hawaii and Europe. Kenny was a member of Court Street Methodist Church.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife of sixty-one years, Rosemary; children, Kathy Richey Liddle (Bryant) of Fulton and rich Zbinden of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Arlane Yeager of Otterville, Missouri; grandchildren, Christina Richey Niedergerke (Nick) of Fulton, Jessica Richey of Egypt, Kali McCammon of Kansas City and Mei McCammon of Kansas City; six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson, Kenny Niedergerke.

In addition to his parents Kenny was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Zbinden Flowers.

Funeral services will be at 4:00pm on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Rebecca Dunger-Peak officiating. Friends received from 2:00pm until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to Court Street Methodist Church in Fulton.
