“Tex” Abraham Vernon Munder, was born February 12, 1941 to George and Grace (Jerome) Munder. He spent his first 14 years on the family farm and going to country school. In 1955, the family moved to New Salem. There he was active working as a farm hand for neighbors and friends. Soon after moving to New Salem, Tex found the Backsen Farm and spent many days there enjoying friendship and the activities going on. Bill and his family were very special to him. Tex has always loved horses and anything involving horses. There he was to continue to nurture that love and ride.
Tex was a character, his very own character, and was never afraid of showing himself to the world in the things he said and did. He was strong, brave, enduring and loving. He enjoyed his friendships and loved to laugh.

His Spirit is fondly remembered by his Elm Crest Family and many friends and family.
