Lorna Cowley Walker passed away in Lindon Sept 18, 2019, at the age of 94. Lorna was born in Venice Sept 24, 1924 to Ray and Jennie Davis Cowley.
She was valedictorian and student body president at Richfield High School her senior year and later attended Brigham Young University.
Her first husband, Alden Fillmore, Richfield, was killed in World War II. She met and married Stanley H. Walker, Pleasant Grove, (stockbroker, mayor of Lindon and Utah County Treasurer) in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept 3, 1946.
They had four children, Patricia Walker of San Francisco, Ca; Jeanne (Evan) McCollum, Castle Rock, Colorado; Harold S. (Kellie) Walker, Gilbert, Arizona; and Holly (Mike) Meiners, Orem, Utah. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and brought her much joy.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct 1 at 11 a.m. in the Aspen Eightth ward chapel, 1485 North 800 West, Orem with a viewing prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
