Funeral services for Charles will be at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, May 20th, at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake with Rev. Roger Carlisle officiating. Burial will be at the Wall Lake Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19th at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake.
Charles was born in Chesterton, Indiana, on April 13, 1914, the son of August and Lillian (Harbrecht) Reglein. He graduated from Chesterton High School in 1932.
On May 18, 1940, Charles and Vietta Schroeder were united in marriage. This union was blessed with two children, Diana and John. Charles worked for the Brunk Dairy until 1951, when he and his family moved to Wall Lake and took over the family farm.
He was a member of the Wall Lake Commercial Club, Peace Lutheran Church, and Peace Lutheran Church Men's Club.
Charles was an avid fan of the Cubs, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and visits from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Diana Alexander of Bellevue, NE, and John Reglein and his wife Donna of Carroll; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and extended family members.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wife Vietta in 1992; two sisters, Evelyn Oness and Loretta Reglein, in infancy; and son-in-law, Mike Alexander in 2004.
