Peggy Patton Deweese Brooks was born on November 4, 1942 in Laurel County, KY, the daughter of the late Denver Patton and Mildred Vance Patton Mardis.
She is survived by two daughters, Dee Deweese Troy (Joel) of Taft, TN and Sherri Deweese Wilson (Greg) of Richmond, KY, a sister, Janice Patton Kolb (Ron) of Oxford, OH, a step-sister, Judy Nelson of Louisville, KY, six grandchildren, Bryan Powers (Jamie), Sam Powers (Heather), Mary Audrey Powers (Joel), Shana Baum (Brian), Clay Wilson (Rachel) Drew Wilson, and three great grandchildren, Dallas, Hendrix and Colton Powers plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Shelby Brooks, Jr., her step-mother, Opal Patton and a great grandchild, Madison Grace Powers.
She was a retired Administrative Assistant with Dupree Mutual Funds and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Richmond, KY.
Peggy departed this life on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, being 76 years, 10 months and 6 days of age. Bryan Powers will officiate at the service. Burial will be in A R Dyche Memorial Park in London.
