Louise Brent Dies At Age 84
Louise Brent, 84, of Alton died March 12, 1996, at Osborne County Memorial Hospital. She was born Louise Dibble on Feb. 7, 1912, near Alton and was a lifelong area resident.
She taught at the Fairdale School near Alton for four years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Alton United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Willowdale Circle.
Survivors are her husband, Ross, of the home; a son, Lanny of Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Caro Fogo of Leoti, and Margery Pricket of Duncan, Okla.; three sisters, Ila Belle Hoar and Arleta Breckenridge, both of Stockton, and Edna Taylor of Woodston two brothers, George Dibble of Stockton and Everett Dibble of Alton; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 15th at the Methodist Church, Alton, with Rev. Brent Clayton officiating. Vocalists were Brent and Diane Clayton and Elma Dibble was the organist.
Casket bearers was Ben Brent, Bob Nichols, Old Wineland, Kelly Brent, Jim Wineland, and Ron Wineland. Burial was at Sumner Cemetery, Alton.
