Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Nutt were held at Mt. Moriah church Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. M.D. Wyatt in charge. Burial was at Mt. Moriah cemetery.

Mattie Margaret Findlay, daughter of Hugh and Belle Findlay, was born Oct. 2, 1873 at Business Corners, Iowa. She was the third daughter of a family o feight (of eight) children. In 1896 she was united in marriage to Thomas F. Nutt. To this union two children were born. The eldest son passed away in infancy. Her husband in 1909. She was also preceded in death by her father, mother, brothers, John and Earl, sisters, Blanche, Maude, Alice and Josie.

She accepted her Savior in early years and has kept the Faith. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah church and church societies. A loving wife and mother, she leaves her son, Thomas O. Nutt, three grandchildren, Thomas, Jr., Caroline, and John Carson, all of Douds, one brother, Hugh of Agency, other relatives and friends.
