It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of our sweet Mother, Jewell Hurst Partain, on August 30, 2019. She was 88 years old. Born on November 6, 1930, one of 12 children, to Thomas P. Hurst and Sallie Johnson Hurst. After high school she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where she began her career with various telephone companies retiring with 29 years service from AT&T in Atlanta where she held several management jobs. She was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church for 30+ years. She loved yard work and flowers, do-it-yourself projects and anything creative. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We were blessed to have such a godly loving Mother. We will miss her terribly but celebrate her homecoming to God.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Partain Wann and Deborah Partain Denson, one grand-daughter, Kelly Knight (Kavin), three great-grands, Mekayla Neal, Kaleb Knight, Ally Knight, one brother Hershell Hurst, one sister Sally Hurst Karsten, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service is planned for September 21, 2019. The details will be forthcoming.
