Died Mar. 7, 1982. 83 year old Sumner resident, Died in Lawrence County Memorial Hospital about 12:05 a.m. Sunday. Born Oct. 7, 1898 in Lawrence County, she was the d/o Joseph and Margaret Herrin Cochran. Her husband, Chauncey G. Stevenson, and two sons preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons: Delbert and Ed of Sumner, and Joseph of Bridgeport; two daughters Vivian Miller of Sumner and Mary Heath of Bridgeport; one sister Barbara Bellinger of Sumner; 28 grandchildren; and several g-grandchildren. Funeral rites will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner with Elton Carlson officiating. Internment will follow in Sumner Cemetery.
