Harriett was a loving sister and aunt. Harriett is survived by three nieces that she loved like daughters and that care for her like a mother; Lorrie (Wayne) Ghann, Kim (Rusty) Johnson and Tina (Matt) Knight. Harriett loved her family and especially enjoyed the annual Christmas Eve oyster stew suppers and Easter Sunday lunches watching the children hunt excitedly for Easter eggs. She enjoyed shopping trips with her sister and nieces, working with flowers and decorating her house especially at Christmas time.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 4, from 6-8 PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5 at 11 AM in the chapel. Interment will follow at the Buckhead Cemetery.
