Allenbrand Rites
Services for Lynn V. Allenbrand, 81, of 1207 1/2 E. Chicago St., who died Thursday, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Dantuma officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at Dykes Funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
He was a postal clerk in Valparaiso and retired employee of Continental-Diamond Fibre Co. He was born March 12, 1896 in Porter Township, a son of Wilbert and Vivia (Phillips) Allenbrand and was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. His first wife, Evelyn Westbay, preceded him in death.
Surviving are the widow, Eva; a daughter, Irene Fessler and and stepdaughter, Alta Brown, both of Valparaiso; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
