LONG ILLNESS IS FATAL TO LOCAL WOMAN
Mrs. Vivia Allenbrand, wife of W. Allenbrand, died this noon at the home of her son, Deputy Postmaster Lynn Allenbrand, at 758 West Chicago street. She had been in ill health for a year.
The decedent was born in Porter township, Porter county, June 11, 1871, a daughter of William and Rebecca (Loney) Phillips. Practically all her life was spent in Porter township.
On Nov. 27, 1894, she was united in marriage to W. Allenbrand, who survives, together with one son, Lynn Allenbrand. She also leaves two brothers, Elias F. Phillips, of Washington township, and A. V. Phillips, of Hebron.
She was a member of the Valparaiso Methodist Episcopal church.
Memorial services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, fast time, from the Methodist church.
