BELLMAY. In Torrlngton. Mr. Nelson H. Bellmay Sr., 95, formerly of Waterbury and Wolcott, died Wednesday (Oct. 10) at the Adams House Healthcare after a long Illness. Born Oct. 23, 1883 in Woodbury, son of the late William F. and Helen (Dykeman) Bellmay, he was the former owner and operator of Nelson H. Bellmay & Son Landscaping, Prospect. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Waterbury; Townsend Lodge of Odd Fellows; the West Hartford Grange No. 51, and a former member of the Patriotic Order of Sons of America. He leaves three sons. Nelson H. Bellmay Jr. and Edward F. Bellmay, both of Waterbury, Jesse W. Bellmay of Prospect; two daughters, Mrs. James (Jane) Sadler of Pine Meadow and Mrs. William (Ruth) Kane of Waterbury; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and was predeceased by a son, Clifford L. Bellmay. Funeral services will be Saturday at II a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home, 70 Central Ave., Waterbury, with the Rev. Dr. William Foster officiating. Burial will be In New North Cemetery, Woodbury. Friends may call at the funeral home today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.
