Jane Helen (Bellmay) Sadler, age 90, formerly of Pine Meadow, died Saturday, (January 14, 2006) at Waccamaw Community Hospital. Mrs. Sadler was born October 28, 1915 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Nelson and Jane (Smith) Bellmay. She graduated from Wilby High School and had worked as a secretary with the Town of New Hartford. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Surfside Beach, SC and was a former volunteer there. Mrs. Sadler was a member of Riverton Grange, Riverton for almost 70 years. She was a 50 year member of Magnolia Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of CT, Past Grand Matron and Grand Treasurer Emeritus of the Grand Chapter of Connecticut, Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Sadler is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James N. Sadler; four brothers, Nelson Bellmay, Clifford Bellmay, Edward Bellmay, and Jesse Bellmay. Survivors include her son, James N. Sadler and his wife, Sherill of Cape Coral, FL; a daughter, Barbara S. Brun of Surfside Beach, SC; four grandchildren, Scott D. Sadler and his wife, Lisa of Harwinton, Sarah D. Sadler of Cape Coral, FL, Lisa B. Cosgrove and her husband, Jim, of Litchfield, Sharon B. Whitton and her husband, Carl of Socastee, SC; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 21 at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Connecticut. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
