Margaret Queener was a daughter of John Queener and his wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" (Lowery) Queener. She was married 24 May 1828 in Roane Co., TN to Nicodemus Ward (Roane Co., TN Marriage Records Dec. 1826 - Sep 1838, page 28). The marriage record incorrectly records Nicodemus Ward's name as Nicholas, but litigation regarding the estate of John Queener proves that the name should have been Nicodemus, as Nicodemus Ward and his wife are identified by name.

Margaret (Queener) Ward and Nicodemus Ward had the following children:

William Ward
Mary "Polly" Ward (born circa 1832); married 1849 in Meigs Co., TN to William Jolly.
Celia Ward (1834-1894); married 1859 in McMinn Co., TN to Reese Crabtree.
Elizabeth Ward (born circa 1836); married James Lillard.

Following Margaret (Queener) Ward's death, Nicodemus Ward married her niece, Nancy Isley (1825-1870), a daughter of George Isley and Nancy (Queener) Isley, 12 Jul 1843, in Meigs Co., TN (Meigs Co., TN Marriage Records 1838-1846, pages 87-88).
