Peter Farquhard Best, Sr., son of the late Farquhard Smith Best and Martha Gooch Best; also preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard Lee Best and Page Hinton Best.
Survived by his wife of 51 years, Alice Victoria "Vicky" Caldwell Best; two sons, Scott Campbell Best, and Peter Farquhard Best, Jr. (Jeanna Scott Best); and three grandchildren.
Peter, graduated from Brevard High School and Sewanee the University of the South, and received his J. D. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He practiced Law in Asheville for 50 years. He was a long time board member for the Fletcher Fire Department.
