Larry R. Miller, 79, of Huntingdon, passed away Aug. 18, 2019, at home.

Born April 17, 1940, in Ryde, he was the son of the late Blair and Blanche (Appleby) Miller.

Preceding him in death were: a sister, Mary Kathryn Truscott; and brothers, Paul and J. Treman Miller.

He is survived by: his wife, Janet (Long), whom he married on Dec. 26, 1987; children, Julia and husband, John, of Reedsville; Brenda and husband, Donnie; Rodney and companion, Lori, all of Lewistown; stepdaughter, Lisa and husband, Bernie, of Spruce Creek; 11 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Raymond and wife, Bernadine, of Enola; and Audrey Reeder, of Huntingdon.

Larry retired from Red Star Express as a truck driver after 37 years of service. He was a member of the 12th Street United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. Larry was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and he enjoyed mountain hiking and hunting.

At Larry’s request, there will be no public viewing.

A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. Aug. 24, 2019, 12th Street United Methodist Church, 313 12th Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652, with Pastor Ann Foor officianting.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the church or to a charity of your choice.
