Surviving are his wife, at their home; his mother, at the Malta Home, Granville; two children, James Lee Miller of Grapevine, Texas, and Darla Jane Miller,
McVeytown R.D. 1; two granddaughters; a sister, Audrey J. Reeder, Smith Valley; and three brothers: Raymond B. Miller of Harrisburg, Paul O. Miller, Manheim, and Larry Miller, Huntingdon. One sister, Mary Kathryn Truscott, preceded him in death. Mr. Miller was a member of the McVeytown United Methodist Church. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was also a member of Lodge No. 376, Free and Accepted Masons; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Mifflintown; Simpson-Hunt Post 107, American Legion, Mount Union; Atkinsons Mills Sportsmen's Club; and the McVeytown Volunteer Fire Co.
He was employed by U.S. Silica for 42 years, retiring on Feb. 1, 1989. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Ross L. Booth Funeral Home, Market St, McVeytown, with the Rev. Kermit Shrawder officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown R.D. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday, from 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions, in memory of Mr. Miller, may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
