Carrol Arnold Witte, 86, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Adams Heritage in Monroeville.
She was born on October 22, 1932 in Adams County, Indiana to the late Carl E. and Orilla M. (Neuenschwander) McBride. She was united in marriage to Von Arnold and he preceded her in death. She was then united in marriage to Glenn Witte on July 5, 1998 and he survives.
Carrol was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven.
She was a graduate of Harford Center High School. Following high school Carrol worked as a secretary for Anthony Wayne Services and she also worked as a secretary at IPFW.
Carrol loved and enjoyed playing the piano and working on jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Witte of Fort Wayne, Indiana; step-daughter, Susan (Mark) Lecher of Fort Wayne; step-son, Randy (Sarah) Witte of Fort Wayne; step-son, Gregg (Mary) Witte of Martinsville, Indiana; step-son, Kent (Laura) Witte of Fort Wayne; sister, Deanna (Russel) Pageler of Tampa, Florida; sister, Chloe (Robert) Welch of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Tyler and Travis Behnlander of Grand Rapids, Michigan; six step-grandchildren, Misty, Michael, David, Alyssa, Nathan and Jason; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Carrol is preceded in death by a daughter, Trudy D. Behnlander; son, Kent Dale Arnold; and two step-sons, Gary and Brian Witte.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Scott Zeckzer officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2019, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Preferred memorials can be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven.
