Mr. Jimmy Joe Pryor, 79, of Laurel, MS passed from this life Sunday, August 18, 2019 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born in Laurel, MS on Friday, May 10, 1940 to Jim Pryor and Lurline Pryor. He was a member of Mill Creek Church of God. He was the owner and operator of J. J. Pryor Construction Company & Magco. Mr. Pryor is preceded in death by his father, Jim Pryor; mother, Lurline Pryor; daughter, Suzanne Dykes; 2 brothers, Bob Pryor, Barry Pryor. He is survived by his wife, Jeraldine Pryor, Laurel, MS; 2 daughters, Jeannie Robinson (Buck), Laura Hall (Tim), both of Laurel, MS; brother, Donald "Tuck" Pryor, Laurel, MS; sister, Deloris Stegall (V.J.),Laurel, MS; 5 grandchildren, Jera Havard (Jacob), Lucedale, MS, Curtis Robinson, Jamie Dykes, Jessie Watson (Joseph), Joseph Hall, all of Laurel, MS. Visitation for Mr. Pryor will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Mosley, Rev. Randy Cook, and Tom Huebner officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steven Mitchell, Ty Parker, Chad Parker, Jim Easterling, Butch Davis, Robert Lynn Mitchell.
