Barry Evertte Pryor, 62, of Laurel, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Memory Chapel with interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at Memory Chapel from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Ken Regan will officiate.

Mr. Pryor was an oilfield engineer and the owner of Pryor Packers. He will be remembered as having a big heart and being determined and very helpful to others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James D. and Lurine Cooley Pryor; and brother, Hubert “Bob” Pryor.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Deedy Pryor; son, James Abel Pryor; daughter, Felecia Pryor; three grandchildren, Marisa Watts, Kaelyn Lane Pryor, and Gaige Colton Pryor; brothers, Donald E. “Tuck” Pryor and Jimmy Joe “JJ” Pryor; sister, Deloris Stegall (V.J.); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Toby Poore, Jason Eason, K. O. Smith, Scott Robertson, Chris Blackwell, A. J. Jarillo, Robby Lawson, and Phillip Tiner. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Thornton, Richard Rose, David Maroney, Neil Butts, Davis Criddle, Diego Mix, W. J. Deese, Glenn Pierce, Ben Jackson, Larry (Wobble) Shoemake, Eddie McVay, Adam Gardner, Greg Rahaim, Bob Sullivan, and Greg Jones.
