Robert C. "Bob" Jones, 65, of Spotsylvania County died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore. He was the son of the late Henry and Beulah Shelton Jones.

He was retired owner and operator of Robert C. Jones Insurance Agency. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was past president and life member of the Fredericksburg Jaycees and was a member of the Elks Lodge 875. He was an avid golfer.

Survivors include two brothers, Morris W. Jones of Jarrettsville, Md. and Roger W. Jones of Fredericksburg; and fiancee, Brenda G. Zitz of Fredericksburg.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Lawrence A. Davies officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the National Kidney Foundation of Virginia, 5001 West Broad St., Suite 217, Richmond, Va. 23230.
