Morris W. Jones, 71, of Spotsylvania County passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at his home.
Morris and Dorothy married in 1964 at Temple Baptist Church, where they were members. They were recently members of Falmouth Baptist Church. He had a 35-year career with RF&P Railroad and retired from CSX Railroad in 2002.
Survivors include wife Dorothy A. Jones; daughter Tiffany M. Huryk (David); brother Roger W. Jones (Connie); granddaughter Ella Huryk; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Baxter. He was preceded in death by brothers Bob, Daniel and Kirk Jones.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at noon Friday, Oct. 11, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
