By the taking of the 1891 Census, the Drinkwater family was residing in the St. Antoine Ward of Montreal, Quebec. Charles Drinkwater was aged 45 and employed as a Secretary with the C.P Railway. Living with him were his wife Sarah aged 38, and children, Alice aged 18, born in Ontario, Mabel aged 16, born in Ontario, Graham aged 15, born in Quebec and Kenneth aged 7, born in Quebec.
