He was born in Bath County on Sept. 16, 1914, son of Alfred H. and Martha (Brinkley) Rusmisel.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Hubert Justus of Farmville; three brothers, Ashby and Van, both of Millboro, and Kenna Rusmisel of Yarmouth, Mass.; a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, by the Rev. L.S. Napier. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Bath County. Pallbearers will be Warren Crowder, Forest Wagner, Hugh Landes, Ernest Corley, Charles D. Armstrong, C.T. McCormick, and James Tennant. The family will receive friends 7-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
