Mildred S. Brown, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 8, 2019.
Born in Roanoke, Alabama, Mildred was the daughter of the late Ealie L. and Docia Elizabeth Shivers. She was a longtime and faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church where she had been employed as a bookkeeper. Mildred found great joy in helping out at the church’s library and co-teaching the Esther Sunday School class which is now known as the Joy Sunday School class. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Houston Medical Center for many years. Mildred is now in heaven, where she has heard her good Lord say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant”.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather Stewart Brown.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Tommy Brown (Wendy) and Gail Brown Ellerd (Joe Wade), both of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Lisa Ogan (George, Jr.), Roxanne Kuhn (Timothy), and Tommy Brown, Jr.; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Annie Ruth Clark of Sharpsburg, and Kathleen Evans of Atlanta.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 11, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019, at Friendship Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Afterward, Ms. Brown will be laid to rest in Perry Memorial Gardens.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Mildred S. Brown to Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund at 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
