Chester council, No. 81, Jr. O. U. A. M., elected officers at a regular meeting last night, as follows: Councilor, Walter Glass; vice councilor, James Cross; recording secretary, Plummer Barkus; assistant secretary, S. C. Wherry; financial secretary, Oscar O. Allison, treasurer, S. M. Newell; conductor, Ray Piper; warden, Baker Allison; inside sentinel, Clarence Green; outside sentinel, O. A. McCoy; chaplain, F. F. Stedman; trustees, James Cross and Baker Allison

Thomas B. Allison

Thomas Baker Allison, 91, of 172 Montana Ave., one of Chester's oldest residents, died Saturday at 7:55 p.m. in the home of Charles Martin, a neighbor, at 169 Montana Ave. Mr. Allison was a native of Hancock county where he spent practically his lifetime. He was a lather and also worked as a plumber in his younger days. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He lived alone and leaves no survivors other than three nieces and five nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 p.m. in the church by Rev. M. V. Stone, pastor of the Methodist Church. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call tonight at the Martin home.
