Juanita Vanhoose Anderson, age 86, of Richmond City, Virginia (formerly of Jenkins), passed from this life on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at her residence. She was born on February 24, 1933 in Jenkins, Kentucky to the late Oaker and Martha Mullins Potter. She was of the Baptist faith and ran a day-care for many years. She also served as a secretary for the local Moose Lodge and as treasurer of her bowling league.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Anderson; two daughters: Deborah Kay Anderson and Theresa Mae Ascuzena; five sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by four daughters: Christine Thompson (Herman) of Richmond, Virginia; Anita Fay Lipford of Colonial Heights, Virginia; Cornelia Sue Brewer (Randy) of Richmond, Virginia and Brenda Gay Anderson of Richmond, Virginia; one son, Gregory Allen Anderson of Powhatan, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and many friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Anderson will be held at the Polly & Craft Funeral Home of Jenkins, Kentucky on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Arnold Stewart officiating.
Interment will follow in the Potter Cemetery of Jenkins, Kentucky.
