Funeral Services for Jessie Vanderpool, 84, Clinton resident and formerly of Woodward, Oklahoma will be held 3:00 P.M., Sunday, August 11, 2019 in the Woodward First Christian Church, officiated by Ronnie Hopkins. Burial will conclude Monday, August 12, 2019 in the Arlington Memorial Gardens in Midwest City, Oklahoma under the direction of the Keisau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, OK.
Jessie Faye Vanderpool was born October 27, 1934 to Jesse and Nancy (Hatfield) Vanderpool in Marlow, Oklahoma and passed away, Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in her Clinton home.
Jessie attended Beauty College in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was married to Lee La Marr in August of 1956. To this union three children were born, Jacqueline Lea in 1957, Mark Rockford in 1958 and Jennifer Kay in 1963.
She continued her education at Central State University in Edmond, OK and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and then followed that with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma in 1980.
She made her home in Woodward in 1986 where she worked as a Social Worker at the Ft. Supply Mental Hospital until her retirement. But she continued her private practice under after her 80th birthday.
She was a member of the Woodward First Christian Church and she loved to write a she had a number of her books published.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Rocky La Marr and brother, Bill Hibbert.
She s survived by two daughters, Jackie Branson and husband, Darrel, OKC, OK and Jennifer Daubenspeck and husband, Jamie, Clinton; brother Millard Hibbert, OKC, OK, daughter in law, Kelley La Marr, Edmond; sister in law, Jo Ann Hibbert, Piedmont and Keneth Vanderpool and wife, Lucia, Memphis, TN.
She is also survived by 10- grandchildren, Justin Branson and wife, Malinda, Cheyenne, OK, Kelsie Schneid and husband, Mike, San Antonio, TX, Jessica Walton and husband, Scotty, OKC, OK, Evan La Marr and wife Ashley, Pompano Beach, FL, Meredith Wade and husband, Andrew, Sand Springs, OK, Jared Wedel and wife Alyssa, Rocky, Jake Wedel and wife, Emma, OKC, OK, Garrett Daubenspeck and wife, Brittnie, Piedmont, Mason Daubenspeck, Inola, OK and Ashley Daubenspeck, OKC, OK and 13 great-grandchildren.
