Mary Frances Taylor, 93, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Homewood in Lebanon. She had resided at Crown Pointe Assisted Living since 2005.

She was born on December 5, 1924 in Decatur County, the daughter of the late Worth Anderson Lisher and Opal Mae (Branson) Lisher.

Mary Frances lived in Greenfield and graduated from Maxwell High School, class of 1942. After high school she sold furniture in Greenfield, then worked at Eli Lilly for several years.

On July 8, 1951 she married Leo James Taylor at Bradley Methodist Church in Greenfield. They met at a Rural Youth activity. They raised five children and celebrated 51 years of marriage. He passed away on July 18, 2002.

Mary Frances was devoted to her family and involved in numerous memberships including: Dover Christian Church, Builder Sunday School Class, Ladies Aid Society, Dover Dubble Dozen Extension Homemakers, Mothers Club of the Dover School, Treasurer of Boone County 4-H Fair Board and Council, fifty-year plus member of Farm Bureau and sang with the Lilly Choir. Mary Frances enjoyed volunteering, sewing, baking, and gardening.

One Great-Great Grandchild

Two nephews and one niece

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary Frances was preceded in death by three brothers, William Robert Lisher, Leonard Boyd Lisher, Wilbur Ernest Lisher, and one grandchild, Joshua Richardson.

Visitation is planned from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Dover Christian Church, 955 North State Road 75, Lebanon, Indiana on Friday, April 27, 2018.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Dover Christian Church. Interment will follow services at Dover Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Boone County 4-H Club or Dover Christian Church.
