Mrs. Tucker, 87, of Cowan Dies --
Mrs. Julia Pearl Ake Tucker of Cowan, wife of Sharp Tucker, died Saturday in Franklin County Hospital following an extended illness. She was 87.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Watson Funeral Home. The Rev. Bobby Hancock officiated. Burial was in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Tucker was a native of Alabama, born March 10, 1889. She was the daughter of William Campbell Ake and Mollie McCallie Ake. She was a Baptist.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Rosalee McCraven, Cowan; a sister, Mrs. Allen Crane, Cowan; a brother, Luther Ake, Anderson; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
