Charlie W Jones, 82, Princeton, died at 11:58 pm Saturday at Caldwell County Hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday at Morgan's Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation will be from 4 until 9 tonight and until the funeral hour Tuesday.
A native of Christian County, he was born March 31, 1915, the son of the late David Wesley and Susie Jane Malone Jones. He was a retired electrician and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Darnell Jones; a son Wesley Jones, Nashville, Tenn; two step sons, James Pool, Lyon County, Mike Darnell, Paducah; four step daughters, Katherine Oliver and Peggy Hubbard, both of Princeton, Rebecca Slaton, Caldwell County, Vickie McCarthy, Shepardsville; a sister, Kitty Oliver, St. Charles, Mo.; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
