ELIENE ALTMANN

Eliene "Ellie" Altmann age 81, of 2600 Monroe Street, age 81, of 2600 Monroe Street, Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 10, 2000, at her residence.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2000, at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, Two Rivers. Rev. Kim Henning will officiate at the service. Cremation will have taken place.

Ellie was born August 14, 1918, at New Holstein, Wis., daughter of the late Walter and Mathilda Graf Hansen. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a degree in business statistics. On November 12, 1942, she married Charles Altmann in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death April 14, 1988. Ellie was a faithful member of Grace Congregational Church, she volunteered many hours working with the Meals on Wheels program, and at the Capital Civic Center, where she served as an usher for many years. She enjoyed bird watching at Woodland Dunes, and she was an avid golfer in the Womens league at Fairview Golf Course.

She is survived by three sons and seven grandchildren, John Altmann, Dallas, TX, and special friend, Terri Altmann and his children, Bruce, Jeff, and Kari Altmann, and their mother, Kay (Best) Altmann, Dallas (Plano) TX, David Altmann and special friend, Kathie Rost, Green Bay, and his children, Brenda (Robert) Remiker, Daniel Altmann, Brian Altmann, Greg Altmann, and their mother, Kathy Dollan, Green Bay, Fred Altmann and special friend, Arlene Hoffman, Madison, Wis. She is further survived by one sister and brother-in-law (Ruth (Jim) Thixton, Irving (Dallas) TX; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gilbert Hansen, New Holstein, Wis., Charles (Grace) Hansen, Louis Corners, Wis., and Eugene (Maria) Hansen, New Holstein, Wis., Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Eunice Erbach.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Grace Congregational Church, Two Rivers, on Saturday, August 26, 2000, after 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to Grace Congregational Church, Two Rivers.
