Son of John Irvin and Ida Luella Moss Hatch.

Husband of Lucille Arbuckle Hatch.

Donald M. Hatch "Don't Get Old" Ten days before his 93rd birthday, our strong willed father passed away of causes incident to old age. He often told us his "ticker" was bad.

He was born July 8, 1914 to John Irvin Hatch and Ida Luella Moss Hatch.

He married Lucille Arbuckle January 20, 1937. Don personally knew people who walked across the plains, and saw the first man on the moon.

He excelled in sports at Davis High School and throughout his life. He took his oxygen tank to the golf course and the bowling alley through his 90th year. Don's working years were spent with the train service for Union Pacific Railroad.

He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, and his daughter, Rose Mary.

Don is survived by his children Jo Ann Carroll, Barbara (Ken) Miller, Kay (Rick) Christensen and Dick (Jane) Hatch, 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his second family at Legacy House of Bountiful. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the love and care given to him by Jorge Vera; the staff at Legacy House of Bountiful; Applegate Hospice, especially Alice; and the Bountiful House Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday morning, July 2, 2007 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2020 South 200 West. A viewing will be held Sun., July 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful.
