Laura Hatch Emery
Laura Hatch Emery, 83, passed away peacefully May 29, 2000 in Bountiful after heart failure.
Laura was born September 11, 1916 in Woods Cross, the daughter of John Irvin and Ida Moss Hatch. She married Orvin Lutz Emery on May 27, 1933. They enjoyed 56 years together.
Laura led a full and active life, serving her family, community, and church. She served in various ward positions in the LDS Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Association. She loved being active in sports, especially golf and bowling and continued her activities up until very recently. Her energy and enthusiasm was contagious as well as inspirational to her family and friends.
Laura is survived by her children, Lloyd Emery (Dorathy) of California; Louise Thompson (Jerald) of Brigham City; and Sally Nielson (David) of California; one brother, Donald Moss Hatch of Bountiful; and 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers and one sister.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2000 at 1 p.m. at the Bountiful 45th Ward, 1900 So. Orchard Dr. (Wicker Lane). Friends and family may call on Thursday June 1, 2000 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful and from 12-12:45 prior to the service. Interment following service at Lakeview Cemetery.
