LA PORTE -- Services for Robert J. Warfield, 50, of 4366 W. Joliet Rd., who died at 2:11 p.m. Friday in La Porte Hospital, of natural causes, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Door Village United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Door Village Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Haverstock Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. Monday until services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Door Village United Methodist Church Youth Group.
Mr. Warfield was a custodian and maintenance worker for Westville Schools. He was born Oct. 17, 1939, in Calloway, Ky., moving here from Kentucky 33 years ago. On June 30, 1974, in La Porte, he married Beverly Comford. She survives, with two daughters, Dianne Warfield at home and Tammi Warfield of Tucson, Ariz.; his father, C. T. Warfield of La Porte; three sisters, Cleo Jackson, Rita Sigle and Louise Yozman, all of La Porte; and three brothers, J. B., Ted L., and Ed, all of La Porte. He was a member of the church, was on its board of trustees, and was an Army veteran.
