Guillermo LaJeunesse, age 60, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday July 25, 2019 after a short battle with cancer.
Guillermo was born in Manzano, NM on May 13, 1959, where he lived for much of his young life.
Guillermo was a member of the Laborers Union Local 16 for 10 years, the Plasters Union 254 for 25 years and the Moose Lodge.
Guillermo was a motor transport operator with the United States Army.
Guillermo was preceded in death by his mother, Aurora, father, Ruben and brothers, Christobal, Felix, Ruben Jr. and Jesse.
Guillermo will be missed by many and is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dora Cervantes LaJ eunesse, daughter, Dolly Cervantes and her partner, Cecy Ramírez, daughter, Jessie and her husband, Pablo and grandson, Pablito, a very special nephew, Ernest (Hito), brothers Alex, Pete and his wife, Theresa, Albino and his wife, Judy, Erminio, Juan and his wife, Betsy, Joe, Lance and Justin, sisters, Frances and her husband, James, Linda and her husband, Gordie, Dolores, Marie and Emily and her husband, Charlie, Godsons, Pablito, Jacob and James, Goddaughter, Aurora and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing and Rosary will be at Riverside Funeral Home at 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. A Final viewing and mass will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 820 Broadway Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, NM on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery at 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. Reception will be at Moose Lodge located at 2121 Edith following burial.
