Elsie Beckner Cassady, 87, of Rocky Hill, Ky., died Sunday, December 2, 2001 at the Edmonson County Health Care Center.

Born December 28, 1913 in Chaumont, Ky., in Edmonson County, she was a hostess for National Park Concessions and a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Veachel Beckner and Josie Wilkins Beckner and wife of the late Marion E. Cassady.

Survivors include two daughters, Naretta Manley of Louisville and Maxine Carney of Smiths Grove; two sisters, Manie Green of Park City and Eugenia Smith of Stuart, Fla.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at Cedar Springs United Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Lambert Cemetery.
