The husband of Mary Rosskopf and father of ten children (nine of whom survived him), Adam resided on West Chestnut Street and was a skilled stone setter. While doing stonework on the courthouse in Kankakee, he fell 45 feet from the roof and died from his injuries. Following funeral services at Holy Cross Church, he was interred at St Louis on 14 November 1910.
