Funeral services were held in the First Christian Church here December 28, 1970 for Mrs. Nellie Meek Addy, 71. She died December 27, 1970 in St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, following an extended illness.
Rev. John Floyd, Kermit, officiated at the service. Mrs. Addy came to Dickens County in 1927. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. S. I. Jenkins, Amarillo; one son, Billy C. Addy, Midland; two sisters Mrs. George Culberson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Mrs. Blex Belew, Goodwill, OK; one brother, Bill Meek, Pryor, OK; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Horace Hyatt, Walt Jimison, A.B. Carlisle, Weldon Cannon Lafayette Robinson, and Archer Powell.

Interment was in the Spur Cemetery.
