Survivors include a daughter, Lynne Trivette of Spartanburg; two granddaughters, Suzanne Armistead of Maysville, GA, and Anna Chan of Inman; a grandson, Jonathan Trivette of Thomasville, NC; a great-grandson, Dennis Woodall of Dahlonega, GA; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Armistead of Maysville, GA; a brother, Jim Cannon of Spartanburg; and two sisters, Margaret Foster of Greensboro, NC, and Martha Hunsuck of Spartanburg.
Preceded in death by a son, Gary Dennis Gregory; a brother, Frank Russell "Whitey" Cannon; and two sisters, Louise Reid Cannon Settle and Sarah Jane Cannon Burgess.
Visitation was held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel conducted by the Rev. Beth Drennen, the Rev. Lowry Drennen, and Mr. Jonathan Trivette. Burial was in Whitney Cemetery.
