Mrs. Laura Amstutz, 91, of Berne, died at 6 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. L. Lehman, Geneva route 2, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Amstutz was born Dec. 26, 1881 in Canton Bern, Switzerland, the daughter of Emil and Lena Moser-Baumgartner.

She was married on March 6, 1902 to Jacob J. Amstutz and he preceded her in death in 1951.

She was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church, Kidron, Ohio.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Carl (Lena) Norr, Kidron, O., Mrs. Anna Miller, Centerville, Mich., Mrs. A. L. (Rachel) Lehman of Geneva route 2, and Mrs. Gilbert (Bertha) Franks of Geneva; two sons, Noah L. Amstutz of Berne, route 2 and Fred L. Amstutz of Geneva route 2; a foster son, Joe Carpenter of Centerville, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Bertha) Mertz of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Earl (Lydia) Thompson of California; one brother, Emil Baumgartner of Fort Wayne; one half brother, Edwin Baumgartner of California; 43 grandchildren; 95 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

One son and five daughters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Yager Funeral Home in Berne, with Rev. Tom Miller officiating.

Burial will follow in Moser cemetery.
