OBITUARY: Carolyn MAY BRASSELL

Carolyn May Brassell, 93, passed away after a brief illness.
She was born in Warthen, GA., on January 6, 1925. She was one of seven children born to Charles May and Maybelle May.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Brassell, Sr.; a son, William Thomas Brassell, Jr; her parents; and her six siblings. She is survived by three children; Sallie Brewer, Carolyn Ann Brassell, and Stan Brassell; and one grandson, Benjamin Glenn Brewer. Cynthia Thomas was her dedicated caregiver.
The family wishes to express gratitude and thanks to the staff of Keysville Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and care.
She was a longtime, faithful member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church, the Ruth Bible Sunday School Class, a Bible study group, and Faithful Ones. She was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
The funeral service and visitation will be on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Platt's Crawford Avenue Chapel. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm, with the service to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery following the service. Services will be officiated by Rev. Joseph Thompson, Sr.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, PO Box 440, Meansville, GA, 30256.
