Reba Denise Smith was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 1, 1963. She was the daughter of the late Ernie Drummonds and Margaret (Miracle) Drummonds. Reba attended Dundee High School.

Reba married Tim Aichler and from this union would come the birth of one child. On October 28, 1998, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Smith in Toledo, Ohio. Reba enjoyed worshipping her Lord and Savior and she participated happily in church with singing and playing piano.

As a young woman Reba was well-known for her wild side. Throughout her life she loved to make an entrance, and could be counted on to always be late; typically on purpose. Once Reba arrived she quickly became the center of attention, and her great sense of humor made her a pleasure to be around.

For many years, Reba struggled with health issues, but she never let them get her down. She was a survivor through and through and her stubbornness seemed to carry her. In her free time Reba loved to travel by car, liked clothes shopping which was evident by her collection of outfits, and enjoyed watching her soap operas. More than anything, Reba enjoyed spending time with her children and family get-togethers.

Reba Smith, age 50 of Monroe, passed away at 10:35am on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at her home. She had been under the care of Heartland Hospice and Homecare. In addition to her father, her passing was preceded by a brother: Richard Drummonds; and her nephew Richard Drummonds.

To cherish her memory, Reba leaves a loving husband of fifteen years: Kenneth Smith of Monroe; a beloved son: Brian (Ashley) Aichler of Monroe; a cherished daughter: Jennifer (Nolan) Wolan of Taylor; a sister: Reda (Dale) Biniecki of Maybee; two brothers: Ronald (Elizabeth) Drummonds of Romulus and Randy (Dianne) Drummonds of Monroe; one grandchild: Jaxie; and her former husband: Tim Aichler.

Friends may gather from 11:00am-4:00pm on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 4:00pm with Pastor Rick Massingill of North Monroe Street Church of God officiating. Cremation will follow through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia.
