Funeral services for Elizabeth Baxley Surles, 75, will be held at 10am Wednesday in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Surles died Sunday August 18 1996 at her home. Born in Barnwell County she was a daughter of the late Nicholas Baxley and Daisy Ray Baxley.
Surviving are sons John D. Surles of Columbia, William E. Surles III of Myrtle Beach, daughters Barbara Blanton and Diane Zimmerman of Myrtle Beach, Donna Williams of Elgin AFB FLA Elizabeth Shiflet of West Columbia, brother R. J. Baxley of Blackville; sister Mary Harley of Blackville; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
