John B Steadham passed away at his home on Jan 10, 2017 in Roy, WA.
He was born on Feb 14, 1915 to John and Rozzie Steadham in Young County, Texas.
John married his wife of 71 years, Kathryn Shields, in 1933.

In 1943 J.B. (John) and Dick (Kathryn) left Texas with their young family and re-located
in Tacoma, WA. John went to work in the shipyards as a welder and then North Pacific Plywood Co-op as a stationary fireman where he retired after 28 years.

In 1964 John and Kathryn built a home on their acreage in Roy, WA and spent many years enjoying country life, horse riding, raising cattle and gardening. John engineered and built a barn and outbuildings to house a variety of machinery and farm equipment.
The "Farm" was a gathering place for year-round family get-togethers with grandchildren enjoying tractor rides with granddaddy. Memories abound of fun times at the farm with Grandmother and Granddaddy.

John was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn and his daughter Carol Dubois.
He is survived by daughter Adele Guthrie, son John P Steadham, daughter Mary Landry (Wayne) and 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 21 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild.

A Celebration of Life reception will be held at "The Farm" on Sunday, Feb 12 at 12pm.
All are welcome.
