Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday (December 10, 1991) in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Clay Joseph Bernard, 56 who died 5 a.m. Monday, December 9, 1991 at his residence in Broussard.

The Rev. Monsignor L. Michael Herpin, pastor, Sacred Hearth Catholic Church, Broussard will officiate. Interment will be in the St. John Fatima Cemetery.

He was a native of Carencro, son of the late Dalton Bernard and Emelie Lavergne. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Air Force, retiring in 1975 after servicing 21 years. He was a resident of Broussard for the past six years.

Survivors include his companion, Andrey Bourque of Broussard; one daughter, Mrs. Guy Joseph (Kathy B) Duhon of Carencro; two sons, Darrell J. Bernard of Houston and Tommy J. Bernard of Lafayette; one brother, Earl Bernard of Carencro; two sisters, Mrs. Leonce (Inez) Abadie and Mrs. Antoine (Therese) Angelle of Carencro; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held today ( December 10, 1991) from 8 a.m. to service time.

Delhomme Funeral Home, Bertrand Drive was in charge of services.
