Patrolman Trahey's Double Misfortune.
Patrolman Jerry Trahey, of the Fourth precinct, received a telegram yesterday informing him of the death of his father, at the age of 64 years, at Jackson (sic), Illinois. This is the second time within three months he has been bereaved, his mother having died in November. Mr. Trahey left on the night train for Jackson (sic) and will be absent several days. The brave and faithful officer has the sympathy of his fellow officers and a large circle of friends in his sorrow.

Dennis Trahey, at Jacksonville, after an illness of many years. A few mornings later his son, Dennis, died of consumption and a double funeral was held.
